 THE IMPORTANCE OF RESEARCH 

Hello, in today's Media Project II lesson I was instructed to answer questions about the research.

1. Why is research important?

The purpose of the research is to find out and gather needed information in a field of study ( Zarah, 2021).

-it is used as a tool to built our knowledge 

-helps to understand the problem and solve it 

-it supports the truth

-gives evidence to support that truth

2. Why should you always look at at least three sources of information?

We should always look at at least three sources of information to found out if the information is correct and show that we have done proper research (LibGuides: Citing sources: Overview, n.d.).

3. How do you know if a source on the internet is reliable?

We have to make sure if the source is written by a trustworthy author or institution. Currency is also really important, for instance when the website was updated last time. In this way, we know that the information is still correct (Timmer, 2020). 

4. Why should you ALWAYS reference your sources?

It is important to avoid plagiarism, using someone else works we have to include in-text citation and reference (The Study Space, n.d.).
